AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION (AAU)
Outlaw is President/Executive Director of The TEAM GEORGIA BASKETBALL CLUB
and considered by many as the GREATEST and MOST WINNINEST COACH (over 300
wins) in Georgia AAU history dating back to 1983 when his team started out
as the Team Georgia/Burdett Trojans!  Therefore, let the record reflect that
Team Georgia (co-founded by Elbert "Al" Outlaw and Linzy Davis) is the
oldest and most productive program in Georgia History!  His teams have
beaten EVERY ORGANIZATION and coach currently coaching today!  Most notably,
his team beat the Atlanta Celtics when they had Josh Smith, Randolph Morris
and Dwight Howard on the front line!  They were coached by Wallace Prather,
Walter "Pete" Smith(father of Josh Smith) and Tony Adams (current coach and
Director of the Columbus Georgia Blazers!) No other team can make such a
claim!  Team Georgia ranks with the BEST in the State and Country with an
alumni list of college and professional players that is second to none in
Georgia!  Go to our website to validate this assertion/fact!   The following
partial list is an example:   William Avery (Duke/Milwaukee Bucks), Lavar
Postel (St. John's/New York Knicks), Jarvis Hayes (UGA/Washington Wizards),
Alexander Johnson (Florida State/Memphis Grizzlies), and Shareef
Abdur-Rahim (Vancouver, Hawks, Seattle and Sacramento)!   Shareef didn't play
for any other AAU program except Team Georgia!
ADDITIONALLY, we have 2 WNBA alumni: Keisha Brown (New York Liberty) and
Lady Hartman (Sacramento Monachs) and 3 NFL alumni: Keyeron Fox (Seatle
Seahawks), Adam "Pac Man" Jones (Tennessee Titans) and  Shawn
Jones (Cincinatti Bengals).

SPECIAL NOTE:  Outlaw thinks that Wendy Miller, B.A. in Community Health and
Masters in Public Administration, epitomizes what TEAM GEORGIA is all about;
she is the "Sole and driving force behind the organizational structure and
execution of the Program!
Linzy Davis, B.A. in English, American Literature and Language, has a
brilliant basketball mind, especially innovative ways to market and expose
players; it's time that ALL other AAU coaches support what he is doing and
stop being critical!   It's really about the kids!   None of us are
perfect!"

Parents and peers need to know that your child is being exposed to "A
Quality, Educated Staff" whereas we simply provide an atmosphere that
produces successful leaders and create more confidence, determination,
fundamental skills as a basketball player but more importantly better
character as a person through hard work ethic and faith!   We are NOT
attempting to broker your child and/or persuade him to transfer to another
school!

RECREATION/PROFESSIONAL
Outlaw attributes his success in basketball as a player and coach to his
myriad of experiences stated above; but his coaching foundation started at
the Burdett Gymnasium/Recreation Center in College Park, Georgia off of Old
National Highway.   He is a 26 year career employee with Fulton County
Department of Parks and Recreation where he is currently the Athletic
Director/Manager for the entire County's Sports Programs.   He was the
Community Center Director at Burdett from 1980-1998!   During his tenure at
Burdett his teams have won numerous youth and adult (men and women) State
Championships! He states that" Every athlete and coach start their careers
on the recreation level be it Parks and Recreation, Boys and Girls Clubs,
YMCA's, etc.  It is truly a blessing to touch the lives of kids during their
formulative years!"

Outlaw has been recognized for his untiring work in the community as a
recipient of the prestigious "Heart for Youth Award" by WSB-TV!   He is also
a consultant to and committee member of the following Youth Advocacy Groups
- "Call to Manhood," "Another Way Out," "Beat the Odds," "National Youth
Sports Coaching Association -NYSCA" and the "Georgia Recreation and Parks
Association - GRPA."   He's a certified CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor through
the American Red Cross!

There are several Doctors and Lawyers who have played for him and other
coaches in the program at some point in their careers- i.e. Dr. Chad
Kessler, Dr. Alex Kessler and Attorney Derrick Waugh/Head Coach at Stetson
University, just to name a few!

He acknowledges the fact that "everybody can't make the NBA, but we can
train and teach our kids to be successful and productive citizens!   We are
merely vessels used to glorify and serve God through the medium of
basketball!  IT'S ALL ABOUT PRESENTATION!   WE TRAIN OUR KIDS TO BE LEADERS
TODAY AND TOMORROW!

This is his story and he thanks ALL of you who have helped and continue to
help him/Team Georgia along the way!"
